Windows computers sometimes will freeze-up, crash or it just stop working.
If this happens to you , you can shut down a crash Windows computer and restart it so you can continue your computing.

Remember saving your work frequently will minimize data losses that’s caused by your computer freezing.
And whenever possible try to, close down all applications and try to shut down from the Start menu.

Tips:
A. Try accessing Start menu and use Shut Down. If you can do this, click on Restart.
The computer will shut down and restart automatically. Save your work when prompted to save your work.
Try switching to other programs. If you can, try exiting just the one frozen program.
B. Try to access the Start menu, if you cannot access the Start menu, Try using the keyboard command of Control + Alt + Delete. If you get a pop-up window, click on Shut Down.
If you do not get a window, Try using the Control + Alt + Delete command twice in succession. This should shut down the computer and restart it again.
C. Also, if your computer has a Restart button, Try pushing the Restart button instead of using the keyboard commands. Now when the computer restarts, it may perform diagnostic functions since the computer was not shut down correctly.
These steps will help you preserve your data when configuring for Dual Booting.
D. Now if the above methods fail, shut off the computer from its main switch.
Wait a few minutes and restart it manually. It may perform some diagnostic functions when starting. Remember to saving your work frequently that will minimize data losses caused by your computer freezing.
